CEC supports adult learners from marginalized and ecologically-critical communities by developing and providing environmental education courses. It offers Basic Ecology Courses adapted to each class or interest group or community, as well as Seminars on specific environmental themes or issues.
CEC trains adult educators, organizers, leaders and members at the grassroots level. CEC’s environmental education curriculum is aimed at helping people cultivate ecological awareness, critical analysis, and progressive action. Courses are varied, ranging from organizational skills on planning, monitoring and evaluation, leadership, paralegal and campaign work, to Community Based Environmental Assessment and Monitoring(CBEAM) and Community-Based Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (CBDRRM)
