Gawad Bayani ng Kalikasan (GBK)
GBK is a biennial awards event and lecture series organized by CEC and its partner organizations honoring Filipino heroes and heroines who have defended the environment and people’s rights.

Ili-Ili sa Kalibutan: Mga Awit ng Bayan at Kalikasan
A joint project with the Negros Council for Environmental Protection and Ambon, this album of songs in Hiligaynon and Filipino shares the outputs of the Visayan songwriting workshop
held in cooperation with the National Commission for Culture and the Arts from August 26 to 29, 2008. The songs speak about the disasters brought about by the forces of nature and
socio-ecological problems related large-scale mining, commercial
logging, and the construction of coal-fired power plants. Launched in September 2009, the album contains original compositions, arrangements, and performances by Leo Lasaga, PG Zoluaga,
Jojo Pineda, Kim Vicente, Jojo Pineda, and Jonathan Yunsay.

This album on environmental is a project of the CEC–Phils that is dedicated to individuals, organizations and communities which have offered time, effort and lives to the struggle for the environment, national patrimony and people’s rights to national resources.
